NOTE: Most FrameForge Subscriptions already come with these expansion packs so please verify if your license already supplies them before purchasing this pack or the expansion pack bundle.

Expansion Pack Frameforge

In the time between the first and second versions, the softwares creator, Innoventive Software Inc., has released two nice expansion packs, featuring law enforcement and military sets, vehicles and characters. The demand from users for these updates was substantial enough that Innoventive Software responded quickly to fill the need. The companys support for the product is great and their online community is helpful and timely.

The premium version adds a variety of expansion packs, which give access to new actor faces, ethnic and period clothing styles, and a stock of 40 fully-dressed sets. Also included are themed packs relating to emergency response, crime & justice, and the military.

There are many accessories and options for costumes, such as hats, jackets, and footwear for men and more than 350MB Textures and decals that allow you to create literally thousands of looks. Previz Studio 3.5 includes basic building blocks and hinges, so you can easily create new objects in the program. Sketchup files can also be imported, with millions of them freely available online. FrameForge 4 Pro adds physical cameras and support equipment, individual lighting elements with overlaid shadows depth of field, truly mirrored reflections, and prime lenses. Ground glass, green screens, and many other features. This expansion pack does not add new actors or objects. Instead, it provides 40 fully-dressed sets. This pack includes 32 standard characters of four ethnicities, dressed in various uniforms. These include casual to formal pilot jackets and everyday uniforms. There are also trench coats and field uniforms.

Camera information, including height, focal length, and angle of view. Also, roll, tilt, depth of field, and optional depth-of-field info. Automatic reports on all actors in the shot as well as the equipment required. Premium version includes a range of expansion packs that allow access to new actor faces, period and ethnic clothing styles, as well as 40 fully-dressed sets. Thematic packs are available for military, crime, justice, and emergency response.

I've played with both. Quick, iirc, was very amateurish and clunky making it practically useless. FrameForge was more sophisticated but why use it? You can draw with a pencil stick figures quicker and easier than wasting time learning another software package. The lens feature is handy for perspective viewing but an experienced DP can help with that.

FrameForge offers various bundles, each with increasing complexity and price points. All levels include optically accurate virtual cameras. The highest-end packages allows users to define exact equipment specs for dollies & cranes, precise lighting, calculations for sun positioning, reports and more.

The first line of this example loads the loader itself. You can only load the loader one time no matter how many charts you plan to draw. After loading the loader, you can call the google.charts.load function one or more times to load packages for particular chart types.

The example above assumes you want to display a corechart(bar, column, line, area, stepped area, bubble, pie, donut, combo, candlestick, histogram, scatter). If you want a different oradditional chart type, substitute or add the appropriate package namefor corechart above (e.g., packages: ['corechart','table', 'sankey']. You can find the package name in the'Loading' section of the documentation page for each chart.

As of version 45, you may call google.charts.load more than one time in order to load additional packages, though it is safer if you can avoid doing so. You must provide the same version number and language settings each time.

Before you can use any of the packages loaded by google.charts.load you have to wait for the loading to finish. It is not enough to just wait for the document to finish loading. Since it can take some time before this loading is finished, you need to register a callback function. There are three ways this can be done. Either specify a callback setting in your google.charts.load call, or call setOnLoadCallback passing a function as the argument, or use the Promise that is returned by the call of google.charts.load.

Note that for all of these ways, you need to provide a function definition, rather than call the function. The function definition you provide can be either a named function (so you just give its name) or an anonymous function. When the packages have finished loading, this callback function will be called with no arguments. The loader will also wait for the document to finish loading before calling the callback.

One benefit of using the Promise is that then you can easily draw more charts just by chaining more .then(anotherFunction) calls. Using the Promise also ties the callback to the specific packages required for that callback, which is important if you want to load more packages with another call of google.charts.load().
